A BETTER WAY
TO OPEN THE HANGAR.

PARA-PORT is a single-panel, bottom roll-up hangar door system engineered to seamlessly support your operating environment. The design delivers dependable access, safe operation, low structural demand, and energy efficiency in demanding environments.

One integrated system.

  • Single-panel performance membrane

  • Bottom roll-up operation

  • Compact drive system

  • Coordinated controls and safety provisions

  • Ground-level service access

The membrane rises from the bottom and opens the full span without side-stacking zones.
Every component works as one system.

How it works.

The drive rolls the membrane door upward while controls coordinate each cycle. Fully open, the full designed width and height remain available.

Safe operation.

Safety combines controlled movement, clear operating space, accessible components, defined procedures, safety devices, inspection, maintenance, and training.

Engineered to open.
Proven to keep operating.

The Drive System

Compact drive. Controlled movement.

The PARA-PORT drive moves the door using straightforward mechanics designed for large openings.

Designed for generations of service life.

  • Initiates opening and closing

  • Uses the same components trusted in heavy industrial machinery, not typical door mechanicals

  • Coordinates movement across the opening

  • Supports repeatable operating sequences

Ground-level service access.

Major serviceable components are accessible from ground level for inspection and maintenance.

Annual maintenance.

Annual maintenance typically includes inspection of the system, a gear oil change, and routine component checks.

Performance Membrane

The surface makes the system.

The single-panel membrane system spans the opening with reduced weight and load transfer to the structure.  We offer more versatility than rigid-panel systems.

One continuous panel.

  • Extends across large hangar openings

  • Moves vertically during operation

  • Rolls upward from the bottom

  • Preserves the designed opening when raised

Full access.

Because the membrane door rises above the opening as opposed to rigid panels stacking beside it, it preserves space for aircraft and facility use.

Natural light and environmental control.

  • The translucent membrane admits daylight, reducing daytime dependence on artificial lighting.

  • A continuous panel reduces joints and moving seal interfaces, limiting uncontrolled air exchange.

The door can open to any height needed, limiting exposure of the full opening.

Controls and Safety

Controlled operation. Clear expectations.

PARA-PORT controls coordinate each cycle for consistent movement, operator awareness, safety, and dependable access.

Clear operating environment.

The bottom roll-up design keeps rigid sections and there is no infringement to the ramp or hangar space.

Emergency operation.

PARA-PORT doors can be opened with manual cranks using the output shaft on the motors. For critical operations, such as life-flight facilities, we recommend a backup generator.

Safety is a system.

Safe operation combines design, controlled movement, clear space, accessible maintenance, inspection, and trained operators.
